+ September 8-9, 2010: Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate Green Aviation Summit
Moffett Field, CA
The Green Aviation Summit will explore the depth and breadth of the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate’s work in environmentally responsible aviation. During this two-day seminar, we will address the challenges for green aviation and view some of the groundbreaking solutions being developed by NASA.
+ August 5, 2010: National Research Council Meeting of Experts on NASA's Plans for System-Level Research in Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration
Washington, DC
The Aeronautics and Space Engineering Board of the National Research Council hosts this meeting for experts in government, industry and academia to provide comments and observations on NASA's plans for integrating unmanned aircraft systems into the national airspace. Open to the public; advance registration required.
+ June 25, 2010: The Leading Edge: "Green Aviation"
Washington, DC
A televised panel discussion of the opportunities and challenges involved with making air transportation more environmentally friendly. Airing 11:00am-12 Noon ET on NASA TV. Panelists include Fay Collier, project manager for NASA Aeronautics' Environmentally Responsible Aviation Project, and Carl Burleson, acting deputy associate administrator for policy, plans and environment at the Federal Aviation Administration.
+ April 23, 2010: NASA Advisory Council Aeronautics Committee Meeting
NASA's Langley Research Center, Hampton, Va
The NASA Advisory Council provides the NASA Administrator with counsel and advice on programs and issues of importance to the Agency. The Aeronautics Committee is one of nine committees that conducts sessions throughout the year in an effort to gain a broad understanding of current NASA issues and future mission implementation plans.
