NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program Updated
This program awards 20 undergraduate and five graduate scholarships to
students in aeronautics or related fields. The online application
process for the fall 2012 cycle is now closed. The process for the fall
2013 cycle will open in September.

Museum in a Box New Lessons Added!
Great for educators at museums, science centers and schools, Museum in a
Box provides exciting hands-on/minds-on lessons with an aeronautics
theme to inspire future scientists, mathematicians and engineers. The
lessons are tied to all national science and math standards.

NASA One Stop Shopping Initiative (OSSI)
Eligible students can access a portfolio of NASA internship, fellowship
and scholarship opportunities through a single portal and a single
application. NOTE: The NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program is not

NASA Academies
The NASA Academies are rigorous, immersive experiences that challenge
young people and push them outside their comfort zones. It offers
participants an intense learning experience that is either space- or
aeronautics-based. All academy students are immersed in a NASA
environment where they experience the agency from both inside and
outside perspectives at a NASA research centers in Alabama, California,
Maryland, Ohio or Virginia. Application deadline for the summer 2012
academies is January 23, 2012, 5:00 PM (EST).

NASA Green Aviation Essay or Engineering Design Contests (2011-2012) Updated
High school individuals can compete in the environmentally responsible
aviation contest and be eligible for a top prize of $1,000. High school
entries submission deadline is March 19, 2012. University individuals
can compete in a green aviation engineering design challenge and be
eligible for a top prize of $5,000 (teams) or 1,000 (individuals).
University entries submission deadline is May 7, 2012. (Award prizes are
dependent on available funds.)

NASA Aeronautics Previous Student Competitions
Each school year, NASA aeronautics challenges high school and college
students from around the world to present their best designs and
solutions for meeting a real-world aviation challenge. This section
includes links to lists, images and design concepts from previous
competition winners.

DASHlink Web Site Now Available to Researchers
DASHlink is a virtual laboratory for scientists and engineers to
disseminate results and collaborate on research problems in health
management technologies for aeronautics systems. Managed by the
Integrated Vehicle Health Management project within NASA's Aviation
Safety program, the Web site is designed to be a resource for anyone
interested in data mining, IVHM, aeronautics and NASA.

K-12 Student/Teachers (All Resources)
NASA ARMD provides a broad range of professionally-designed learning activities and materials for students and teachers at all grade levels. These aeronautics projects have been produced in close consultation with the educational community and are designed to support the national standards for mathematics, science, geography, and technology presentation.
